• Tax documents: W-2s, 1099s, and other files you upload for tax preparation.
• Personal information in documents: Your documents may contain sensitive data such as Social Security numbers, income, and financial details. This data is processed to generate your return.
• Generated returns: The completed tax forms produced by the Service.
• Usage data: Basic analytics (page views, feature usage) via Google Analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your session.
• To process your tax documents and generate your return.
• To notify you when your return is ready.
• To improve the Service.

4. AI Processing

Your documents are processed using AI (Claude by Anthropic). Documents are sent to Anthropic's API for extraction and analysis. Anthropic does not train on data submitted through their API. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Anthropic: For AI-powered document processing (see above).
• AWS: For infrastructure and email delivery.
• Google Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers in the United States. We use HTTPS for all connections, session-based authentication, and access controls to protect your data. Uploaded documents and generated returns are stored privately and are accessible only to you.

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
